How to get there.
From any point on either the eastern or western Costa del Sol take the A-7 (N-340) expressway, where Málaga exits are perfectly marked. If coming from the interior of Andalusia, first follow the signs to Antequera, and there get onto the A-45 (N-331) expressway, which leads to Málaga.
Getting Around in Malaga
Getting to Malaga by Air
The main coast road (N340) connects the major towns along the whole southern coast and Benalmadena is approx 20 minutes drive along the N340 from the provincial capital, Malaga. If you are prepared to pay the toll fee (around 5-10 Euros depending upon season) you can take the new AP-7 road which runs parallel to the N340, but with less traffic and higher speed limits means you will reach your destination more quickly.
Getting to Malaga by Car
Malaga Airport is located within the municipality of Malaga, to the southwest of the capital, and can be accessed from the E-15 motorway, which also forms the Malaga ring road, or Avenida de Velázquez, which goes directly into the city centre.
Hire Cars in Malaga
All the major car hire firms are represented, but the best value will probably come from local firms. Guide prices vary, but you should be able to pick up a small car for around 80-90 Euros for a week in off season.
